Coven Clip Club

April 27 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Planned projects, Guided instruction, and all supplies included in a Comfy Crafting Atmosphere 😀

The Clip Club series focuses on a specific theme or technique within mixed media and collage, providing a fantastic opportunity for adults with basic collage skills (you should know how to use an xacto blade) who are looking to elevate their craft.

Each month, you’ll start with a helpful tutorial to inspire you, followed by open studio time where you can let your creativity flow. All necessary materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring anything that speaks to you. Don’t miss out on building community, honing your skills, and crafting something uniquely yours.

APRIL – ZINES!
MAY- Game of Shrooms:
Game of Shrooms is an international art scavenger hunt on June 13th where you make mushroom-themed art, hide it somewhere, and post about it on instagram so someone goes and picks up your artwork. We will make Artist Trading Card-sized shroom collages to hide around town. You can leave your work with us to hide, or you can take it with you to hide in your area. Or you can keep it. I don’t care! The important thing is that we will be making mushroom-themed artwork. More details about Game of Shrooms can be found here: https://yumfactory.com/projects/gameofshrooms/

Join us for a dynamic collage workshop where you can create your very own zine! We will combine images, text, and unique designs in 6 panels on a single piece of paper to express your thoughts and ideas. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring any personal items you’d like to incorporate

We will always have these basic supplies on-hand:

  • Glue sticks
  • Blades
  • Scissors
  • Cutting Mats
  • Clippings & Magazines
  • Mixed media paper & other background bases

About your Host:Jamie DeAngelis is a Philadelphia-based mixed-media artist who creates vibrant works with second-hand materials. Since receiving a Master of Science in Arts Administration at Drexel University, she has been inspired by Philly’s arts & culture scene while working with Cassie’s Craft Coven

About the Location: The coven studio is located in the heart of Olde City in a below ground storefront. There are 10 steps down to get into the space, and our ceilings are not very high. Anyone over 6’4″ will have watch their head until they have a seat. Any more questions about accessibility-please reach out!
