Community of Practice Session for Co-Op Curious Visual/Graphic Designers
September 14, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Community of Practice session for co-op curious curious visual/graphic designers to sklill-up & skillshare on working with coops.
Join us on Thursday, September 14th, from 6:30-8pm for our next Community of Practice session. It will be tailored for co-op curious visual/graphic designers, as well as other visual artists who do similar work. The topic will be: “How do you, as a visual designer with anticapitalist ideals, navigate doing work largely used for marketing?”
As per usual, at the start of the workshop PACA will chat briefly about some of the ins and outs of why co-ops are rad. Then the bulk of the session will be facilitated by co-op experienced Visual Designer, Myrna Rosales. Rosales is a member of Design Action Collective. Design Action is a worker-owned and managed cooperative and a union shop, which works to “serve movements for social and economic justice”. We’re very excited to have them facilitate this session with us.
Register here. Zoom link sent out ahead of time. No cost to participants. Donations always appreciated.
Look forward to being in conversation with you, dear co-op curious Visual Designers.
