Community Gatherings serve as a place for our members (and our wider network) to connect with each other, learn about the state of the environment here in Pennsylvania, receive updates on our work, and meet in regional cohorts. Join us from 7PM-8:30PM. We will have an hour of programming followed by 30 minutes for regional breakouts moderated by PA IPL team members.
This month, we will discuss how faith calls us to be civically engaged. How can we start to make changes by asking questions about our community? Given our mutual interdependence, how do our faiths call us to live in the world? What might our world look like if we started conversations from a place of community and radical acceptance? Let’s come together to explore the ways in which our faith traditions call us to engage in the civic process.
Attendance for the regional breakouts is optional – it is designed to provide a time for connection, sharing, and updates. A staff member will be present in each room. This is also a great opportunity for our congregational members to share about upcoming events or things in planning, ask staff for advice or resources, and more. The regional breakouts for October are: SouthWest PA, SouthEast PA, NorthEast PA, + Central PA (folks from anywhere else are welcomed to join SouthEast PA).
