Climate Conversations with PA IPL & JEA – May 29, 2024
Join Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light and the Jewish Earth Alliance on May 29 at 7:00pm for a discussion about how to understand Governor Shapiro’s new proposed climate policies of Pennsylvania Reliable Energy Sustainability Standard (PRESS) and Pennsylvania Climate Emissions Reduction Act (PACER).
Speaker: Rob Altenburg – Senior Director for Energy and Climate, PennFuture
Rob brings a career’s worth of environmental, climate, and energy expertise to advance clean energy solutions for Pennsylvania. As Senior Director for Energy and Climate, he analyzes legislation and regulations and helps craft policy recommendations to address the climate crisis. He works with regulatory agencies and clean energy industry experts on climate and energy issues across the Commonwealth, and has provided testimony to the White House, the U.S. Senate, and the Pennsylvania Legislature. Prior to joining PennFuture, Rob spent nearly 22 years with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in both the Bureau of Air Quality and the Policy Office.
