Local authors will share and discuss their newly released book in its second edition.
Meet the authors, Edward Sibley Barnard, Paul Meyer and Catriona Bull Briger of Philadelphia Trees: A Field Guide to the City and the Surrounding Delaware Valley. This talk will provide an introduction to this handy field guide, covering how to use it to identify trees while highlighting specific Philadelphia trees from the new edition. We will conclude with a short discussion about Philadelphia’s urban forest.

Edward Sibley Barnard has written and edited dozens of books on natural history during a career of more than fifty years in publishing.
Paul Meyer is the retired F. Otto Haas Executive Director of the Morris Arboretum. During his career, he has been a keen observer of trees in Philadelphia and, while on expeditions, of trees throughout the temperate world.
Catriona Bull Briger has a background in landscape architecture and currently works as a designer, writer and editor in Philadelphia.
