Join Stroud Water Research Center to celebrate World Water Day! Families and community members can engage in many activities including the discovery of live “stream bug” (aquatic macroinvertebrates) at our Mobile Lab, stream ecology videos under our pavilion, a special bilingual (Spanish and English) reading of the Creek Critters children’s picture book in our streamside forest, and an electrofishing demonstration to learn about how real scientists sample eels, trout, and other underwater neighbors in White Clay Creek.
We’re excited to announce that On The Roll food truck will be on-site for all of your delicious dinner options!
Most activities are outdoors and the event will be rain or shine!
¡Celebre el Día Mundial del Agua con el Centro de Investigación del Agua Stroud! Únase a científicos y educadores en el arroyo White Clay para disfrutar de la clasificación de insectos del río en vivo (macroinvertebrados acuáticos), manualidades ecológicas, unos videos de ecología de transmisión, tiempo de cuento junto al río (en Inglés y Español), una demostración de pesca eléctrica para aprender métodos científicos de capturar anguilas, trucha y otros vecinos bajo el agua. La mayoría de actividades son al aire libre (llueva o truene) y habrá comida para comprar. No se requiere registro, pero se recomienda encarecidamente.
