Join Bird Town Pennsylvania, Newlin Grist Mill, and Valley Forge Audubon Society at the Media Borough Community Center for an afternoon to benefit the birds! Bird populations around the world are declining due to habitat loss and other factors, but we can help by making sure our birds have places to nest each spring.
Participants will work together to build nest boxes for several different bird species that will be installed in the park at Newlin Grist Mill, including in the newly-built wetland habitat. They will also have a chance to learn about bird identification, bird biology and conservation, and explore bird-inspired art.
Open to students ages 9+. Participation is FREE, but pre-registration is required! To register, please email Jessica Shahan at jshahan@newlingristmill.org. Please provide number of students, number of adults, and participant ages.
