Rai Lewis Biography
Lover of all artsy things and the great outdoors, Vegan Culinary Artist Rai Lewis, has a passion for displaying the creativity and satisfaction of vegetable cuisine. Rai believes in healthy living in not just food, but in the mind and body and promotes mental health and self love at the core of our existence. Rai was educated in the Philadelphia school district, attending Philadelphia High school for Girls before traveling to Virginia and attending Hampton University.
When Rai became vegan in 2017, she noticed the big difference in food offerings across food desert neighborhoods in Philadelphia, and started a vegan food company called the FUN Kitchen. FUN is an acronym for Feasible Understandable and Nourishing and the company was formed with a mission to create access to healthier food.
Since 2017, Fun Kitchen has been breaking down the stereotypes of healthy food using vegan and plant-based cuisines as a vehicle to educate, uplift, and support the community. This passion has allowed Rai to travel as a celebrity private chef and receive features in publications such as 6abc and Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. Rai has made her life about passion and purpose and loves connecting with like minded individuals in an effort to build community to create a healthier world.
More about Black Lotus HHC
Black Lotus Holistic Healing Collective is known for is a space designed for BIPOC healers/practitioners to be centered in the healing in order for them to heal those in the BIPOC community. Vibrational healing is the ancient art of healing with sound; it traces back to ancient Egypt & Tibet. Sound vibrations can heal the physical body at a cellular level by adjusting blockages and imbalances. These imbalances can cause the body to have a slower frequency vibration which may lead to dis-ease or illnesses. Natural healing sound frequencies can be transferred or introduced externally or directly into the body to create a more harmonious state.
At Black Lotus, we combine the use of crystal chakra singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and more to give a relaxing & transformative experience. We can balance chakras, repair auras, uplift the mood or help with grounding. Vibrational healing is a great tool for meditation, alleviating stress, and relaxing stiff or sore muscles.
