(PHILADELPHIA) — SEPTEMBER 25 2024 — Fall into inspiration at Bok! Bok’s popular bi-annual event, Open Studios, returns on Friday, October 18th from 5-9PM. You’re invited to explore all nine floors of the building while you shop and sip with the artists, makers, and small businesses who work at Bok, the largest concentration of creative businesses in Philadelphia. This free, family-friendly event welcomes you into over 100 inspiring studio spaces, home to fine artists, glassblowers, ceramicists, bakers, jewelers, musicians, designers, photographers, and so many more. Expect special activations throughout the building including food vendors, community partner tables, and curated tunes and visuals by Klip Collective in Bok’s historic Art Deco auditorium, hosted by Friends of Bok.
Fuel up before you explore with local favorites that highlight Philly’s diverse flavors. Popping up in the gymnasium alongside a mobile Bok Bar, enjoy Indonesian dishes from Pecel Ndeso, Puyero Venezuelan Flavor, Angie’s Vietnamese Cuisine, along with a few friends from the Mexican Business Association—Philly Tacos, Mole Poblano, and Tamalex Lombard. Plus, Bok’s rooftop Sicilian restaurant Irwin’s will be taking dinner reservations all night, or you can grab a drink at Bok Bar, featuring bites by the bar’s food partner for the month, Sweet Amalia—no reservation required!
The main entrance to Open Studios is 1901 S. 9th Street. Doors at 821 Dudley Street and 800 Mifflin Street will also be open. This event is all ages, but if you are 21+ and plan to drink you’ll need to show your ID at the door.
