Big Rocks, Big Trees Hike with Lisa Myers

Some of the biggest trees in the Wissahickon await you on this 3.0 mile hike using a lesser traveled footpath in the Lower Wissahickon. On the way we will see other iconic landmarks such as Kelpius Cave, 100 Steps, and Lovers Leap. Along the paved bike path, we will observe large gneiss exposures and various tree species. Some sections of our route will be along a narrow footpath with very uneven steep footing so be sure of your comfort level on this type of trail. Please leave pets at home (except service animals).
This hike is for ages 18+.
Distance: 3 miles
Level: Difficult (many inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. 
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
