Beg. Barter. Steal. Closing Reception
Join us for the closing reception of our current group exhibition beg. barter. steal. featuring artwork by the members of the Vox Populi artist collective. We will begin the evening with a series of short talks by participating artists, followed by a special storytelling event.

Read Aloud: An evening of storytelling with Philadelphia artists sharing their favorite folk tales out loud. Get cozy into the shape of story, allegory, weirdness, recollection, wisdom, and magic.
beg. barter. steal. brings together the diverse practices of Vox Populi artist members as they play with the literal and symbolic meanings of ‘begging, bartering, and stealing’ in capitalism, exploring a wide range of lenses from meditations on exchange of time, labor, and environment, to mythological theft in fairy tales, trickster archetypes, and the magickal origins of money.
