Archive and Shine: A Vintage Black Women’s Book Covers Collage Workshop

April 26 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Learn to make your own figurative collage reproductions of canonical Black women’s book covers. Materials and guidance provided.

This collage workshop will include materials and guidance on cutting and adhering, with an emphasis on using metallic and glitter papers. Everyone will have a chance to leave with their own completed collage.

The event will be after the April 26th A Deeply Rooted Trolley Tour, put on by Harriett’s Bookshop, though attendance at one event is not required to attend the other. Both events are held on Indie Book Day, though, so it might be fun to make a full day of it, if you can.

20% of ticket sales for the collage workshop will go to Harriett’s.

20% of ticket sales will go to startup funds for Maroon Strategy, my forthcoming Black literacy organization.
