Valley Green Inn
Members are invited to gather with us in person at Valley Green Inn on June 3 at 6 PM to review the past year, elect members to the Board of Directors, and learn about upcoming projects and Friends of the Wissahickon’s plans for stewardship in 2025. We will also be joined by Sarah Clark Stewart, the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Streets’ Trails and Transportation Manager, who will share more about the Wissahickon Gateway Project.
Between 2009-2024, Sarah worked at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia as Policy Director, Deputy Director and Executive Director, a role she held for 8 years. During that time, she chaired the Circuit Trails Coalition and the Commonwealth’s Pedalcycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. For ten years, she co-managed a successful citizen action campaign to preserve street-level access to Schuylkill Banks. Prior to that, she held positions at the Pew Charitable Trusts, Conservation Law Foundation, Environmental Defense Fund and Natural Resources Defense Council. In 2024, she was awarded the 2024 Dopplet Family Rail-Trail Champion by the Rails to Trails Conservancy.
Registration is required for this event. All FOW members will also receive a digital copy of the Annual Report for 2024.
FOW Members should visit the Member Hub or email Claire Brennan at brennan@fow.org for the link to register.
