Join us for a guided and mobility accessible Winter Tree ID Walk at Pennypack Park
Join us on a paved, mobility accessible trail beginning at the Verree Road Parking Lot of Pennypack Park (across the creek from the Environmental Center). We’ll practice identifying trees in winter based off of their bark, buds, shape, and ecological context. Tree Identification is an important skill in mycology because it can be a key identification feature and help to identify habitats for target species.
This hike has been planned with mobility challenges and accessibility in mind. Please allow space for those who may need these accommodations to access this event, registration is limited.
This event will be cancelled or rescheduled if the weather is inclement, including high wind speeds or temperatures below freezing.
Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities including supportive footwear, jackets, insect repellent, and anything else you may need to support your health and safety on the trail.
This event and others like it are free for everyone. If you are able, please support our mission by making a donation to our paypal. https://www.paypal.com/donate?token=CxhZmGJ1YRtnxzRqeE6jjzyJ6krKdEQkYV2xgVw8LXP5q-AZzNeQ8fxplxMaM8r7hr-KOEHmtELOemvU
