Disaster, Promise & Wildflowers in Philadelphia and Beyond
Jeff Carpineta is a Philadelphia open space preservation activist, artist, and wildflower gardener (Emerald Wildflower Garden, founder of The Perch Music & Arts Workshop), and Realtor with Phila’s oldest real estate company and PHS Garden supporter, Solo Real Estate.
Jeff will share perspectives on “plant blindness”, the myth of the green thumb, some history of Philadelphia’s damaged ecology, efforts to heal, and the importance of native plant gardening for Them (birds, butterflies, bees, moths) to honor the web of connections that our life and life around the planet depends upon.
