30 Years of Struggle: Building a Poor People’s Army
Come join us at the Making Worlds Cooperative Bookstore & Social Center in Philadelphia, PA, USA for a special evening with the Poor People’s Army. Masking is encouraged!
AKA Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign and formerly Kensington Welfare Rights Union, the Poor People’s Army is a nonviolent army dedicated to keeping people alive and building a cooperative economy and society. Through movement-generated films and a Q&A, they will share their three decades-long history of organizing in Philadelphia and across the country. More on their website: https://www.poorpeoplesarmy.org.
Making Worlds is an ADA-accessible space on the ground floor. Their bathroom is also ADA accessible with transfer rails (note: the door is not automatic). Note they are not a scent-free space.
There will be an online part-two to this event as well in case you’re not able to join us in person. You can find that event here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/725616186547
