2nd Annual Tacony LAB 24 Hour Knitathon!
Join us for our 2nd Annual Knitathon!
Set your watch and knit a swatch and get ready for Knitathon! and more!
Knitathon is a 24 hour fiber fest, from noon to noon November 15th and 16th focusing on knitting and crocheting, along with spinning and weaving demos, and round the clock hands-on knit and crochet help. Open to fiber artists of all levels and backgrounds!
We’ll have contests and a community knitting project.
We will be hosting a knit and crochet competition to be judged at hour 22.

We will have a grand prize at the end of the event – a 4 Harness Weaving Loom to make your own fabric!

What is the Tacony LAB Community Arts Center? We are a community art center funded by the City of Philadelphia located in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. We are a program of Mural Arts Philadelphia.
At the Tacony LAB, providing accessible and free art is a priority. We offer free classes for adults and children. Our classes range from fiber arts, drawing and painting, to crafting and more. We provide a safe and inclusive space to work on your projects while receiving support from our attending artists and staff. We encourage you to visit during our open studio hours for a tour of all that our incredible art center packs in. We are excited to invite you to be a part of the developing artist community that we have here!
