1,000th Tree Planting

In 2017 the Arboretum underwent a tree risk assessment that resulted in us having to remove approximately 500 trees from campus. We set a goal that within ten years we would plant two trees for each tree removed meaning that we would add an additional 1,000 trees to campus by 2027.

We are happy to report that we have met that goal early and will be planting our 1,000th tree on Friday, June 16, 2023! Please join us in celebrating our accomplishment as we plant a Styrax obassia, fragrant snowbell, on Lloyd Green.
