Stories We Carry: Opening Reception

Please join us on October 17 from 6pm – 8pm for the opening reception of Stories We Carry!
Stories We Carry is an exhibition that showcases the memories, traditions, individuals, and institutions that shaped Lansdowne Borough into the community it is today.
Through artworks and artifacts spanning the past century, alongside interviews with current residents, visitors are invited to explore the rich history of Lansdowne.
From nostalgic scenes of family and childhood, to shining moments in the arts and theater, to courageous acts of civic service, Stories We Carry offers a captivating portrait of life in Lansdowne—and a beacon for a welcoming and inclusive future.
Public gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays, noon – 4 pm.
This exhibition is organized by the LEDC’s Art Committee, a volunteer group of The Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation. The mission of the Lansdowne Arts Committee is to create, foster, and promote Lansdowne’s identity as a vibrant and inspiring artistic community. The Lansdowne Art Committee is dedicated to nurturing creative expression, enhancing community engagement, stimulating economic growth, preserving and celebrating Lansdowne’s diversity, and cultivating arts education and access.
The 20*20 House is a Lansdowne Borough -owned property. Originally a residential home built in the early 19th century, the 20*20 House has been transformed into a community space with gallery spaces on 2 floors as well as a yoga studio.
