Diaspora Business Mixer — NExT Fall Join Week

Join us for a Diaspora Business Mixer, kicking off NExT Philadelphia’s Fall Join Week — an evening of connection, culture, and community-building for the Philadelphia business world.

This event brings together three organizations rooted in economic empowerment across Philadelphia’s diaspora communities: the Forty Acres F.R.E.E. (Financial and Real Estate Education) Tour, which offers free financial literacy and homeownership education to build community wealth; FunTimes is Philadelphia based. Founded 1992 in Monrovia, Liberia, it was incorporated in PA 2010, connecting immigrant and Black communities through storytelling and shared culture; and Perfect Place Real Estate, a Philadelphia real estate firm dedicated to educating and empowering the community through homeownership.

NExT (the Network of Extraordinary Talent) is the Urban League of Philadelphia’s Young Professionals Group, designed for individuals aged 21 to 44. Formerly known as The Urban League Young Professionals of Philadelphia, NExT Philadelphia is a vibrant community united by a shared commitment to:

– Leadership Development: NExT is a platform for honing leadership skills, gaining valuable experience, and unlocking full potential.
– Economic Empowerment: Whether it is creating jobs, improving income levels, or boosting local economies, NExT fosters professional and economic development/growth individually as well as collectively.
– Civic Engagement: We are dedicated to increasing civic participation and ensuring our community’s voice is heard at every level of government.
– Community Service: Our members volunteer their time and talents to support the mission of the Urban League of Philadelphia and directly contribute to the community.
