Learn all about the pawpaw (Asimina triloba) – North America’s Largest Native Fruit!

Its Customer Appreciation Week 2026!

Join our horticulturalist, Brandon for a fun talk about the pawpaw tree (Asimina triloba), which bears the largest fruit of any plant in North America…and its edible! Wewill talk about the natural history and ecological value of the pawpaw tree. We will also talk about the cultivation of pawpaws, culinary uses, and how you can grow them in your own gardens. During the talk we will walk around the nursery and view some of our specimen pawpaw trees. We will also talk about grafted varieties of pawpaws. Curious why you do not see them at your local supermarket? We will talk about that too! This talk is informal and open discussion is encouraged, so please bring your questions.

This event is rain or shine, so please bring an umbrella and wear proper shoes.

The program is geared towards adults and interested teens, but you are welcome to bring your children.

In the event of extreme weather, we may need to cancel and postpone the event.

This event is free, but we still ask you register so we know how many people will attend. Please register each person in your group.
