Weekday Bird Walk

April 8 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

FOR ADULTS 18+
Listen, watch, and discover the birds of Tyler Arboretum. Explore Tyler’s forests and meadows with birders Sara Boucas Neto, Chuck Root, and Dave Eberly. Hear the calls, spot the birds, and experience this Audubon-recognized Important Bird Area firsthand.
Gates open at 7:45 am.
The group leaves promptly from the parking lot at 8:10 am.
Please arrive on time.
Check in with your guide in the parking lot.
Restrooms will be open.
What to expect:
All levels of birding experience welcome.
We will be walking at a slow, birders’ pace.
Walking surfaces that include pavement, grass, gravel, and uneven trails.
Changes in grade, including possible hills.
Walks are rain or shine.
What to wear & carry:
Dress in layers for the weather
Hiking boots or shoes with good tread
Binoculars (recommended)
Water and snacks
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
MEMBERS: FREE
NON-MEMBERS: $18 per adult ages 18-64; $15 per senior adult ages 65+. The fee includes admission, so feel free to stay the day!
GUEST PASS HOLDERS (for non-members only): FREE. Please give your guest pass to the person taking attendance, or inform them that you are accompanying a participating Family level or higher level member.
LIBRARY PASS HOLDERS: FREE. Please stop by the Visitor Center after the program to inform the Visitor Center Associate that you participated in the bird walk and present your Library pass.
