Riso Valentine’s Card Making Worksop

February 10 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
An Introduction to Printing on the Risograph at the Soapbox Community Printshop in Philadelphia!

About this event

Get a hands-on introduction to our Risograph at The Soapbox while creating your very own Valentine’s Day cards! Find out what a Risograph is, how it works, how to prepare art for it, and explore how to print with it. Over 3 hours, we’ll cover the basics of burning masters, analog art, multi-color printing, registration, Riso printing quirks, maintenance, and other best practices.

During the workshop, you’ll create your two-color, red, and pink Valentine’s design, and collaboratively print it on the Riso. You’ll leave the workshop with a stack of your design and at least one copy of the design from other participants. The size of the Valentine’s will be 2.75 X 4.25. Just like the kind of Valentine’s found in boxes at drug stores!
