A Valentine’s Sweetheart of a Hike with Kris Soffa and Margaret Kinnevy

Meeting at the Philadelphia Canoe Club (see map here)
Parking is available near our meeting location, and overflow parking can be found at the Regal UA Theater next door.
Hike participants will be able to use the restrooms at Philadelphia Canoe Club.
Join us to celebrate Valentine’s Day early with a sweetheart of a winter nature hike in the lower Wissahickon Gorge.
We’ll pass the iconic Lover’s Leap rocky outcropping and discover how, even while the Valley seems to be sleeping, love is still in the air. Bring a Wissahickon love story to share and enjoy the quiet beauty of the winter landscape from the paved path along the Creek. Come fall in love with the Wissahickon in winter.
Distance: 2.5 miles
Difficulty Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Audience: Ages 18+

Registration is required for all events so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations.
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
