Autumn Ramble in Wissahickon Valley Park with Stan Kozakowski and Michael Bridges

Step into the golden hush of early November on a 3-hour guided hike through Philadelphia’s breathtaking Wissahickon Valley Park. As crisp leaves crunch underfoot and amber light filters through bare-branched trees, this seasonal stroll winds along scenic trails, beside whispering creeks and moss-covered stone bridges. Connect with both nature and kindred spirits—whether old friends or new companions—as you share stories and silences alike beneath a canopy of fading fall color. With pauses to admire hidden vistas, ancient trees, and perhaps even a deer in the distance, this ramble is as much about the journey as the destination.
Bring sturdy shoes, warm layers, and an open heart. This is autumn at its most soul-nourishing.
Distance: 3.5 miles
Level: Difficult (many inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Audience: 12 years old and up
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations.
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
