Meets on Wednesday October 23rd and Wednesday October 30th from 5:30 – 8:30 pm
Unlock your creativity in our hands-on Miniature Wheel Throwing Ceramics class! Designed for both beginners and seasoned potters, this two-session course focuses on the art of crafting small-scale pottery on a mini wheel. Over the course of two sessions, you’ll learn essential wheel-throwing techniques tailored to working on a miniature scale.
In session one you’ll learn the basics of wheel operation, clay preparation, and essential techniques for crafting miniature bowls, vases, and cups. You’ll have the chance to refine your pieces, learn about trimming excess clay, and add intricate details before your pieces are ready for the kiln.
In the second session you will use stains and glazes to decorate your work for the final glaze firing. By the end of the course, you’ll have created several unique, hand-thrown miniature pottery pieces to take home. All materials and tools are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
