Art as Activism for Youth and Family with Katie O’Neill
September 6 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Join us for a 1.5 hour drop in space for creative expression and community sharing.
Drop into a creative space among community to share in support for the Palestinian people. Let’s explore how art can be an impactful outlet for activism. This 1.5 hours will be an open opportunity for individual and collective processing through creative expression. Together we will discuss the importance of symbolism, the use of words and variety of materials we can use in expressing our emotions on the war in Gaza. Show support and be supported. All are invited to share or sell finished artwork to help raise funds and awareness for aid in Palestine.
About Katie O’Neill Katie O’Neill is a University of the Arts graduate with a BFA in Crafts. A NJ native and PA local, she is an herbalist, gardener, alchemist and artist on Lenapehoking land. Her interest in ancient handcraft techniques and cultural anthropology has often taken her wanderlust abroad where she has learned alongside global artisans.
