Fruits & Veggies : A Taste of African Heritage
Fruits, vegetables, and a healthy lifestyle are major keys to good health and well-being.
African-American ancestors in the southern United States grew and enjoyed fruits and vegetables. From the southern traditions come many kinds of greens, squashes, green beans, and pumpkins. Peaches, blackberries, cherries, plums, and blueberries also grow in Georgia and Florida.
