Fiber specific tools and supplies for free or trade!
This supply swap is geared towards fiber supplies and tools.
This is an opportunity to empty out your studio of anything that no longer serves you, but may be useful to other makers and artists. Or maybe you’re looking to load up on new fiber materials, this is great for that too! Everything is free to a good home. You are welcome to bring items that you would prefer to seletively trade, but please keep those items with you throughout the event. If you expect to take things home with you please bring a reusable bag.
All supplies left at the end of the evening will be sorted through to use for future Craft Coven events, then distributed out to local daycares, schools, and rec centers through The Supply Library Program
Suggested fiber specific items to donate:
– unknotted yarn balls, skeins, or hanks
– unfinished projects with instructions
– string, yarns, fabric, notions
– tools like knitting needles, embroidery hoops, ball winders
– large equipment like sewing machines, looms, wheels
– anything adjacent to the world of fibers is also appreciated
Things that are NOT accepted at these swaps:
– recyclables and reused food containers
– knotted yarns, untidy scraps
– clothing, shoes, household items that are not craft related
This is a fiber based swap, but we will have one small area for alternate items. So if you have just one or two things that are unrelated but still crafty and useable, feel free to bring that as well!
This event is free to attend and to collect/ donate anything that’s up for grabs. These events are organized by volunteer only and require a dedicated team to keep them going. For that reason dollar donations are accepted and encouraged during the event (cash, venmo, or cashapp) or through Paypal but are completely optional.
The Location: This event is held at Fleisher Art Memorial, in their sanctuary room. Because there will not be regular staffing for the day you must enter through 709 Catharine Street. There is a wheelchair lift available. If you will need that please contact Caitlin 215-922-3456.
