There is no formal definition here for community “leader.” However rather than personal or household level fire safety, the focus of this workshop is on collective leadership / responsibility and cooperation, so if you are a connector between your neighbors and find yourself assuming leadership, we want you here!

Join us to:

  • Hear from longtime Germantown Block Captains Debbie Fortune and Roz McKelvey about how they’ve worked with their neighbors to prevent fires and stay safe
  • Hear from a Fire Prevention representative about basic fire safety and City resources
  • Collaborate with other Germantown Block Captains, RCO, and Community leaders to make an action plan for your block or your group to identify solutions for fire prevention and safety
  • Discuss how to inspire neighbors to work together and look out for each other – a practice in the Living Economy:
