Park and Meet at the entrance to Saylor’s Grove on West Rittenhouse Street.
Check out more big trees and big rocks on the trail located by Saylor’s Grove along Lincoln Drive. We’ll meet at Saylors Grove on West Rittenhouse Street and see the site of the old quarry, now restored as a wetland. From here we will follow a trail that parallels Lincoln Drive. We will see large oaks and tulip poplar trees along with more remnants of the old quarry and structures. Mileage will vary depending on the group but we can figure on 3-4 miles. This hike may involve stepping over some mountain biking obstacles and is intended for adults. Best to leave small children and pets at home for this one, except service animals.
Distance: 3-4 miles
Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
