A Meal to Remember: Live Mystery Theater Experience!

Attention, attention! The American Historical Swedish Museum is inviting you to an event like no other!

On February 14th, 2026, internationally touring, interactive historical theatre company, Live History, is putting on a performance just for the American Swedish Historical Museum. Before the Doors Open is a seated, immersive historical mystery where time is on the brink of collapse.

A knock comes at the door. A host arrives with urgent news: history is unraveling. Important figures have crossed into the present stripped of their memories. Their names, legacies, and the artifacts tied to them are at risk of being erased entirely. One by one, these figures enter and speak—revealing fragments of their lives through monologues, interactions, and clues hidden in objects from the past. None of them knows who they are. Not yet. The audience must work together to determine each identity, voting to match names to faces before time runs out. If the figures are not correctly identified before the museum doors open, they vanish—taking their histories with them. One thing is for sure: it will be a memorable evening of games, merriment, and delightful conversation. So be sure to grab your tickets now for a truly unique experience!
