What do you get when you combine a benefit concert, a jam bandand a local elementary school dedicated to green initiatives?
Solar panels.
Last Wednesday, the Albert M. Greenfield School welcomed the Disco Biscuits. The band came to the school for a look at the $35,000 roof-top solar array, paid for with a March benefit concert.
Grid had the pleasure of chatting with the Biscuits, as well as representatives from Mercury Solar Systems (who installed the panels) and members of Head Count, an organization co-chaired by Biscuits’ bassist Marc Brownstein that fosters civic participation through music.
