SUMMARY:The Wissahickon in December with Debbie Hoellein\, Jim McClory\, and Terry Fowler
DESCRIPTION:Meeting at Crefeld Trailhead (see map here)\nThere is nearby parking all along Crefeld Street.\nPlease note that there will not be bathrooms available along our route.\nJoin Debbie\, Jim\, and Terry on our first hike of the winter. With the leaves down\, we should see some beautiful vistas. We’ll be travelling on the Lavender\, Orange\, and Yellow Trails and visiting some sights of historical and natural interest. We’ll see what plants we can recognize in the winter. Our route takes us up Monster Hill (long and steep!) and some other climbs\, so be prepared. We can take a rest at the tops\, if needed\, but will keep our motors running.\nChildren 12 years of age and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult\, but\, please\, no dogs except for service animals.\nDistance: 4 miles\nLevel: Difficult (many inclines and declines\, uneven surfaces)\nRegistration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations.\nUnless otherwise specified\, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky\, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
