SUMMARY:Stained Glass Moravian Star Making
DESCRIPTION:Assemble a glass and solder a 3 dimensional Moravian star!\n\n\nWith this workshop you will have a chance to learn about the basics of building stained glass by putting together a Moravian Star. This class will focus on copper foiling and soldering with no glass cutting. When you arrive you will choose your star color from a combo of winter colors. You will use specialized tools to solder in 3 dimensions. \nThis workshop is simple enough for beginners\, and a good intro for anyone without glass experience. The session will involve educating you on all the steps\, using the tools\, and assembling your box with all glass pieces already cut out. In the event that you don’t finish your piece\, you can come back during our scheduled open studio hours to finish your piece. \nWhile working\, your instructor is happy to share all the best websites and shops to help guide you towards building your own stained glass studio. Come with questions if you’re looking to continue the glass journey\, or show up just for the experience. No previous knowledge necessary. \nOrganized by The Craft Coven\, this event is part of a community oriented series of creative enrichment projects focused on affordability for all.
