DESCRIPTION:Meeting at the Philadelphia Canoe Club (see map here)\nParking is available near our meeting location\, and overflow parking can be found at the Regal UA Theater next door.\nHike participants will be able to use the restrooms at Philadelphia Canoe Club.\nJoin us to celebrate Valentine’s Day early with a sweetheart of a winter nature hike in the lower Wissahickon Gorge.\nWe’ll pass the iconic Lover’s Leap rocky outcropping and discover how\, even while the Valley seems to be sleeping\, love is still in the air. Bring a Wissahickon love story to share and enjoy the quiet beauty of the winter landscape from the paved path along the Creek. Come fall in love with the Wissahickon in winter.\nDistance: 2.5 miles\nDifficulty Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines\, uneven surfaces)\nAudience: Ages 18+\nPhoto courtesy of Doris Rafaeli\nRegistration is required for all events so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations.\nUnless otherwise specified\, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky\, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery.
