What do you notice—the cold against your skin\, the stately bare trees in stark contrast to the sky? Or perhaps how the birdsong sounds different now than in the spring? Want to become more intentional with your observations? This program encourages you to slow down and connect with nature\, awakening your senses and deepening your bond with Mother Earth.\nWe’ll have fun noticing small\, delightful natural details. Whether you’re an experienced artist\, a beginner\, or simply love nature\, this program helps you attune to its beauty and complexity. We’ll explore ways to strengthen observational skills and use creative writing to enhance visual art. For those interested\, we’ll share how to start a personalized nature journal to capture reflections.\nBring your playful curiosity and a tool(s) of choice—for example\, a camera; a writing pen and paper; or your favorite medium (paintbrush\, drawing pencils/paper/ kneaded eraser etc.) Pack a hard surface such as a clip board or a book to support your work. And don’t forget to bring something to sit on.\nWe will take a short hike and return back to the Environmental Center.
