In this first course\, you will learn about all different types of saws\, drills\, and typical tools needed to hang a heavy backlit wall mounted mirror. You might be asking\, why a heavy backlit wall mounted mirror? Well\, it applies to a very common household DIY project – how to properly mount an object like a TV\, projector\, or coat rack that must be hung properly to avoid injury. We also don’t have a huge stock of heavy backlit wall mounted mirrors\, so we will cut a mirror-shaped template out of plywood to mimic it. DESCRIPTION:On October 25th\, 2025\, we will be holding our Save the Tool Library Fundraiser from 3-9pm. Join us starting at 3pm for a family-friendly event including pumpkin carving\, games\, candy\, snacks\, and beverages. Our presentation from the board\, librarians\, teachers\, members\, students\, partners\, and local businesses will start at 5pm along with food and drinks\, and the start of our silent auction. We still have lots of details to finalize\, but we will be updating this page and our Instagram account over the next few weeks. \nJoin us for some family-friendly fun while we raise money for our upcoming (and unexpected) move. We encourage everyone to bring your friends\, family\, and neighbors to this event as we celebrate our history and impact to the community. Our last hurrah on 47th Street is going to be a blast!

Get hands on as a professional helps YOU mend your clothing\, from buttons to holes to hemming\, as part of WPTL’s mission to reduce waste and develop skills. \nIf you need a garment to be hemmed\, you must be able to measure your own inseam. A tape measure will be provided for personal use. \nRegistered participants will be assisted on a first-come\, first-served basis. Please plan on joining the waiting list when you arrive. Each person registered is welcome to bring up to 2 clean garments to be mended. \nPlease register.
