DESCRIPTION:Please join Circular Philadelphia\, Affexco Global and Vicinity Energy for a seminar on change management and tour of Vicinity’s facility.\n\n\nCircular Philadelphia has established an exciting partnership with AFFEXCO Global—an international team of coaches that work with start-ups\, small and midsize enterprises\, and larger businesses worldwide to become stronger and more attractive for investors while supporting them towards more sustainable performance. \nJoin us on Thursday\, September 28\, 2023\, for a seminar on change management for growing organizations led by AFFEXCO coaches Alan Scholnick and Steve Stave and hosted by Vicinity Energy at their Philadelphia facility.  Attendees will learn: \n\nWhat makes a leader.\nThe difference between a manager and a leader.\nThe challenges leaders face when dealing with change.\nThe science of change management and how it can influence the strategies and actions you take in your organization.\nHow to communicate the changes in a way that encourages your team to embrace and accept them.\nA proven change management approach that will give you the results you want.\n\nAs an attendee\, you will also be given tools to manage the change process\, allowing you to be the leader you want to be and the leader your team needs during change. \nImmediately following the change management seminar\, Vicinity Energy will host a tour of their cogeneration plant in Grays Ferry. Vicinity owns and operates Philadelphia’s District Energy system\, serving steam to nearly 100 million square feet of building space in Philadelphia. The plant\, which has the capacity to generate nearly 163 MW of electricity\, is also capable of generating over 4 million pounds of steam per hour\, resulting in a highly efficient process.  \nVicinity’s steam is 70% less carbon intensive compared to natural gas and is just one of the ways that the company is accelerating the decarbonization of Philadelphia. The tour will cover the more than a century-long history of district steam in Philadelphia as well as the innovative technologies that will help drive the Philadelphia of the future. \nThere will be coffee\, pastries and networking from 9 to 9:30 a.m. This event is free for Circular Philadelphia members and $20 for non-members. \n\n\nThank you to our host and sponsor:
