Broad St.\,\nPhiladelphia\, PA 19122 \nAbout the event \nJoin us for a half-day skills-based event designed to equip small-scale farmers with practical financial tools to manage a successful operation in the city.  \nWe’ll discuss business plan development\, reviewing key financial statements\, and interpreting financial performance. Our presenters include representatives from the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center\, Penn State Extension\, Philadelphia Farm Service Agency\, Horizon Farm Credit\, and Pasa Sustainable Agriculture. \nA panel of Philly and Delaware-based farmers will share their best practices for managing finances on their own operation\, including: \n\nMegan Storm of Storm Crow Farm\nElise Hanks of Terra Luna Herbals\nEvelyn Langley of Dirtbaby Farm\nTyler Case of Mycopolitan Mushroom Company\nTaieshia Hyacinth of Caribe Locavore Farm\n\nThis event is geared towards beginning farmers and seasoned farmers\, for-profit and nonprofit entities\, those in between\, and those interested in brushing up their financial skills. \nBring your questions and come ready to dig in\, network\, and share a meal with fellow growers! \nAccessibility notes:\n \n\nAttendees can expect to walk on flat paved roads.\nThere will be access to an elevator and a wheelchair accessible ramp.\nThere will be seating for the entirety of the event.\nWe are willing to accommodate your dietary needs.
