DESCRIPTION:Visible mending is an art of repair and sentimentality. Whether you’re interested in offsetting the negative effects of fast fashion\, preserving meaningful objects\, or simply enjoy the meditative act of sewing and embroidering\, this workshop will provide a space for you to do so. \nThis three-hour workshop is a place to commune\, connect and share with others as you learn mending techniques for reviving old clothes\, linens\, and fabrics. Participants should bring things that need mending. Fabric\, thread\, and basic sewing tools will be provided. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to bring their own tools and any fabric or thread for their own projects— or to share!

In addition to the professional artists\, there will be a student gallery open to the public on the lower level of the 20th Century Club featuring local student artists. \nLive music will be performed throughout the event and food and pastries will be sold. This show falls on the weekend of Small Business Saturday and provides an ideal opportunity to shop for local\, handmade gifts for the holidays.
