DESCRIPTION:Meeting at Forbidden Drive and Thomas Mill Red Covered Bridge (see map here)\nBoth main parking options require a 10-15 minute walk (up to .7 miles) to the work site\, so please plan your travel time accordingly.\nThere are porta potties on Bells Mill Road available for use.\nWould you like to be part of keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join us in the park for a native planting!\nAll are welcome to attend\, and no experience is needed. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level\, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said\, this service day may include the following activities:\n• Plantings: bending over\, crouching/squatting\, carrying up to 20 lbs\, using long handled tools for digging\n• Litter clean-up\nWe provide gloves\, tools\, and instruction–you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants\, and remember to bring water with you. Detailed information and confirmation of the meeting location will be sent by email the day before the event.
