The door is unmarked\, and there is a black wedge ramp at the entrance.\nThe area is partly shady with ample tree coverage and open canopy areas.\nParking: Parking is available along the paved roads throughout the cemetery and near the Meadow.\nPublic Transportation: The Woodlands is directly across the street from the 40th Street Trolley Portal serving the T2\, T3\, T4\, T5 trolleys and Route 30 bus.\nWeather: If it is actively raining or snowing\, we will postpone or cancel the event. For over a decade\, The Woodlands has served as the venue for West Craft Fest\, featuring 130+ local makers\, vendors\, and performers. \nThe Woodlands welcomes thousands of visitors through the historic gates at West Craft Fest. For many folks\, it’s their first time visiting the cemetery. \nWest Craft Fest requires ample staff time\, resources\, and wear and tear on the site. Whether you’re a long-time attendee or a first-time visitor\, please consider making a $1 -$5 donation to The Woodlands to support this favorite West Philadelphia community event. \nWAYS TO GIVE: \nDonate online\, send a gift via PayPal\, or bring a cash donation in person to the West Craft Fest on April 27. \n\nPLEASE NOTE: There are no cars allowed on site. Please plan to walk\, bike\, or take public transit to the Fest. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exciting BioBlitz on Saturday\, April 26 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at The Woodlands! \nIn partnership with Green Philly\, The Woodlands\, Bird Philly\, Skype A Scientist\, Andrew the Arborist\, City Nature Challenge and Philadelphia Mycology Club participants will use the app iNaturalist to explore the biodiversity of The Woodlands (an incredible green space located in West Philadelphia) all while participating in community science! Community science data collected through iNaturalist observations is key to help monitor urban biodiversity health. \nWhether you’re a seasoned naturalist or a curious beginner\, all are welcome to participate in this accessible\, engaging\, educational experience. Spaces are limited so RSVP to learn more about the urban wildlife in your neighborhood! \nPlease note: The BioBlitz will coincide with the West Philly Craft Fest\, so parking won’t be available on-site. Visitors must park in the surrounding neighborhood\, but The Woodlands is easily accessible by public transit\, with the 40th Street Trolley Portal right across from the gates.
