DESCRIPTION:Drop by The Soapbox to print your own poster using wood type from the studio collection! Participants will compose and print up to 6 words\n\n\nDrop by The Soapbox to print your own poster using wood type from the studio collection! Each participant will get to compose up to 6 words using moveable wood type\, and print 5 copies of their poster to take home. You’ll be guided through selecting and setting type\, and then locking up on the press to print. After setting type\, each participant can expect to have a press to themself for 5–10 minutes. This is a drop-in event\, so feel free to come by any time during this window and stay as long as you like (please arrive by 2:30 in order to have time to print your posters before the event ends at 3) Come print with us!  \nAdvance registration fee: $20 \nFolks are welcome to drop by and register on the spot; day-of fee is $25

DESCRIPTION:It’s a party! Join The Soapbox for IMPRESS\, our annual fundraising party. Printmaking stations\, food\,  drinks\, silent auction\, and prizes!\n\n\nThe Soapbox Community Print Shop and Zine Library is thrilled to welcome you to our annual fundraiser. Explore our studio and make keepsakes at our printmaking stations\, enjoy food and drinks\, browse art and goodies in our silent auction\, and win prizes! \nTickets will be $45 at the door. \nCan’t make it? You can still support The Soapbox by making a donation today! \n \nNote: We have sliding scale tickets with three ticket tiers\, artist\, community and general. If you’re unfamiliar with how sliding scale tickets work\, we’ve included guidance on where you may fall on the scale below. \nSupporter: I am comfortable and able to meet all of my basic needs. I may have some debt\, but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs. I own my home\, or I rent a property. I own/ lease a car\, or I can always afford public and private transport. I am employed\, or do not need to work to meet my needs. I have regular access to healthcare. I have access to financial savings. I have an expendable income. I afford vacations or to take time off. A general ticket includes one free raffle ticket. \nGeneral: I am able to meet my basic needs. I may have some debt\, but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs. I own my home\, or I rent a property. I own/lease a car\, or I can afford public and private transport. I am employed or self employed. I have access to healthcare. I have access to some financial savings. I have some expendable income. I can take a vacation without financial burden. \nCommunity: I frequently stress about meeting basic needs and don’t always achieve them. I have debt\, and it sometimes prohibits me from meeting my basic needs. I have unstable housing. I sometimes can’t afford public or private transport. I am unemployed or underemployed. I have no access to savings. I have no or very limited expendable income. I do not have the ability to take time off without financial burden. \n \nThis system only works if folks pay honestly.
