In this workshop\, we will teach you simple hand sewing stitches in order to create a pair of earrings or ornaments – perfect for holiday gift giving.  \n• All materials provided and sourced secondhand! \n• This is a beginner friendly workshop and no sewing experience required. \nSTITCH AND DESTROY is an upcycled fashion brand\, store and studio located right off of South Street at 523 S 4th St. They carry over 30 artists and designers that use repurposed materials in their work\, as well as offer sewing and crafting workshops in their studio.

SUMMARY:Encaustic Wax Painting & Collage Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of encaustic painting & collage making!\n\n\nWhat is encaustic wax and how is it used in art? \nEncaustic consists of natural beeswax and damar resin (crystallized tree sap). Once heated to a melting point\, it can be applied as a base\, top-coat\, adhesive\, and/or mixed with pigments! This medium lends itself wonderfully to mixed media art\, abstract paintings\, and even portraiture!
