DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Revival StoryWalk through Tacony Creek Park where we will honor the sun and nature with Storyteller Mama Carla Wiley & guests. \nMama Carla will be joined by special guest Monk Praku Onla from the Lao Buddhist Temple of North Philadelphia as we honor the sun\, wind\, trees\, birds and nature. They will share stories illuminating our place in community with one another and with our natural environment. Praku Onla will also offer tips on maintaining mindfulness within the body while staying connected to the outdoors. This event will be bilingual in Lao. We will meet at Rising Sun Ave. and East Chew Ave. at 9am.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Revival StoryWalk through Tacony Creek Park where we will honor the sun and nature with Storyteller Mama Carla Wiley & guests.\n\n\nJoin us this year for Revival Walks through Tacony Creek Park in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia where we will honor the sun\, wind\, trees\, birds and nature. Mama Carla will share stories illuminating our place in community with one another and with our natural environment. \nOriginally created by dance artist / activist Lela Aisha Jones during the height of the pandemic\, the Revival Walks brought healing\, solace and joy to participants\, as facilitators lifted up Afro-centric practices in order to rebalance our relationship to the natural world. \nEach Revival Walk will also be joined by a special guest from the community. Participants will also assist in removing trash along the way as an act of reciprocity to this important natural space. \nRemaining Dates for 2024.
