SUMMARY:Delaware River Environmental Justice Gathering
DESCRIPTION:“Working together for Urban Waters.” Together we will share successes\, discuss challenges\, and move into action for urban communities.\n\n\nJoin fellow community partners and environmental professionals working in the urban Delaware Estuary to share successes\, discuss challenges\, and act toward environmental justice. This is a FREE event including breakfast and lunch. \nAfter breakfast\, sign-in\, and opening remarks\, we will hear from several speakers of urban community group leaders from the Urban Waters Delaware River Location (Camden NJ\, Chester PA\, Philadelphia PA\, and Wilmington DE). After lunch\, attendees will be able to join breakout discussion groups based on a topic of their choice to meet other community members and professionals doing environmental justice and stewardship work\, discuss challenges\, and share resources. Finally\, there will be an interactive session about tips and tricks to successfully fund this work in the current landscape. In between sessions\, attendees will have time to network\, visit exhibitor tables\, and share resources. \nAttendees will also have access to resources from exhibitors. Current exhibitors include: \n\nDelaware River Basin Commission\nLeading Light Wind\nNational Park Service\nNew Jersey American Water\nPartnership for the Delaware Estuary\n\nCheck this page as we update more details about agenda topics and logistical details. \n \nThis event is being planned by the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary and the Urban Waters Delaware River Location partners thanks to a PSEG Foundation Neighborhood Partners grant.
