DESCRIPTION:Join us outside the Leasing Office in the South Tower of Park Towne Place for the unveiling of this year’s mural with artist Scott Troxel\n\n\nPlease join us outside the Leasing Office in the South Tower of Park Towne Place on June 23rd from 5 PM for the unveiling of this year’s mural\, and meet artist Scott Troxel as he finishes installing the 8-foot-by-16-foot piece. \nScott Troxel is an award-winning mixed-media artist specializing in wood and metal wall sculpture and freestanding sculpture. He has exhibited at numerous fairs and exhibitions across the United States\, including The Other Art Fair New York\, DIAF South Korea\, Texas Contemporary\, SCOPE Miami\, SOFA Chicago\, LA Art Fair\, and Art Wynwood. \nScott was an industrial designer\, product developer\, graphic artist\, and brand manager before becoming a full-time artist in his early 40s. His background in commercial products\, graphics\, design\, and aesthetics mirrors similar artists like Andy Warhol\, who honed their artistic skills through real-world applications prior to shifting into the fine arts. In addition to Troxel Art Projects\, Scott is represented by galleries in the USA\, Europe and Asia.

SUMMARY:Free Stuff Collage  Workshop with Jessie Renew
DESCRIPTION:Create a small-scale\, wall-hung collage art piece from items the artist collected and curated.\n\n\nJoin us in the Lower Level of the Towne Center\, at Park Towne Place from 2 – 4 PM on Saturday\, April 5th \, for an exclusive workshop with PTP artist-in-residence Jessie Renew. \nIn this workshop\, artist Jessie Renew will impart her techniques of creating mixed media and collaged artworks made from everyday items. Participants will learn about Jessie’s approach to cultivating creativity\, seeing potential in everyday items\, and processes of making art with these things using weaving\, fusing\, and adhering. Each participant will create a small-scale\, wall-hung collage art piece from items the artist collected and curated. No previous experience is needed. All materials will be provided. \n \nSaturday\, April 5th\, 2 – 4 pm \nLower Level of Towne Center\, Park Towne Place \n2200 Benjamin Franklin Parkway\, Philadelphia PA\, 19130 \n \nAbout the Artist \nJessie is a multi-disciplinary\, mixed-media artist based in Philadelphia. She was born in South Africa and immigrated to South Carolina\, where she began her art career in Charleston. Jessie’s twin passions of art and nature have led her on an exciting career journey\, including work as a commercial artist\, graphic designer\, kayak instructor\, marketing strategist\, landscaper\, painter\, outdoor educator\, and retail specialist. She works on design projects for clients and operates a gardening company\, making art and showing it around the city. Outside of her artistic and professional pursuits\, Jessie enjoys outdoor adventures\, cooking\, yoga\, and spending time with her loved ones and pets.
