DESCRIPTION:Every year HIAS PA helps our newest arrivals celebrate their first Thanksgiving by inviting them to a meal prepared and served by our volunteers. But this year\, newcomers are under attack by our own government and cannot come to celebrate this traditional holiday without exposing themselves to significant danger. So this year\, we are expressing our thanks for all of you by sharing an afternoon of information and advocacy. \nHIAS PA staff will share their expertise to teach us the truth about the American Immigration system – why it is so broken and how the current federal government is using it as a weapon to attack our community members. They will answer questions that you have about the system and\, most importantly\, share things you can do to help ensure Liberty and Justice for All!
