DESCRIPTION:Mothers\, gather your family and meet us beneath the trees for our 5th Annual family wellness retreat.\n\n\n\nBlack Girls With Green Thumbs calls mothers from across the Philadelphia region to gather together to release and unwind.\n \nOn Saturday\, September 27th we invite you and your children to immerse yourself in nature for the 5th Annual They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds: Family Wellness Retreat. \nAt the retreat you and your family will: \n\nbe free to let go\nnurture curiosity\nbreak through loneliness\n\nTogether with other women and their children\, you will enjoy a beautiful day of restoration and exploration in the woodlands around Philadelphia. During this wellness retreat\, families will engage in activities both together and apart while enjoying the outdoors\, like: \n\nYoga\nAfrican dance & drumming\nNature walk\nPlant-based cooking class\n\n…and more! \n \nThis year\, we hold special space for families navigating the impact of gun violence\, offering the retreat as a day of care\, connection\, and healing.\n\n\n\nThey Didn’t Know We Were Seeds is open to mothers\, children of all ages (best suited for school age)\, expectant mothers\, grandmothers\, and other female guardians or caretakers. \nChildren 4 and under must be accompanied by parent/guardian or responsible older sibling/family member during child-centered activities. Childcare is not available. \n \nRegistration: 9:30a-10a | Program begins promptly at 10a\nContinental breakfast and catered lunch will be provided. Please bring reusable water bottles.
